Our Christian Education Department offers a sound background in understanding and living God's word using a curriculum that is firmly rooted in Scripture and related to life experiences and is based on developmental stages of faith. Our staff includes teachers with professional experience. We emphasize a personal student-teacher relationship through lessons, crafts, music and worship. Educational time begins after Time with the Young at Heart for children 7 and under. Attending worship on Sunday is a special time each week to help a child grow spiritually. It will help them learn more about the Bible and what God is calling them to do in the world.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: during the summer.

CONFIRMATION is offered to youth in grades 7-12. It is a class that encourages youth to struggle with their faith. It will also help inspire and strengthen personal commitment to God, Christ and the Holy Spirit, the Christian faith and participation and membership in the church. They study a number of interesting areas including symbolism, worship, the trinity, church history, baptism, holy communion, world religions, etc.  The youth will help run the multi-media presentation on Sunday, be liturgists and acolytes, usher and help change the church sign.   We will have a class of 2 youth and 2 adults.

YOUTH GROUP: Our youth are not only the future but also the present.  Too frequently they stop attending church after confirmation. There are many opportunitities for involvement including helping with the small children during Kidz Klub, attending educational events and participating in worship.  The program will involve spiritual growth, mission, money making projects and fun activities.  If you are interested please contact Rev. Pam.

COLLEGE YOUTH:  We would like to get our college students together during breaks. Please contact the church if you are interested.   Emily Koebel joined her sister, Michelle at Olivet College. Derek Clements is completing his education by learning Spanish. Heather & Kevin Clements are returned to Alma College.  Zach Hall entered the Arm forces.  Travis Doom is attending Central with Laurel Bonczyk & Amber Miller.  Justin Roballard is looking for a job. Wedding plans to marry Justin are in the making. Robert Pachman is studying at Bay University. Brandon Doom and Amanda Kline are studying at MCC.
